Trackless Cold Planer
Brand: Trackless Vehicles
Sidewalk maintenance doesn’t stop when the snow melts. The winter freeze-thaw cycles can cause frost heave and play havoc on pedestrian walkways creating dangerous trip hazards and liability exposure for the city. Removing these hazards is often outsourced to companies that specialize in slab jacking (aka mudjacking), grinding or milling. However, a public works department equipped with a Trackless MT has the ability to repair asphalt and concrete surface damages in a cleaner, faster and more cost-effective manner saving the city from unnecessary costs.
The Trackless Difference
The Trackless MT is available with a 10:1 planetary deep reduction transfer case allowing the tractor to move less than 10 feet per minute when shifted into deep low range. Achieving creeper gear speeds any other way may be cheaper, but Trackless deep reduction will generate 10 times the wheel torque compared to normal low range. This provides smoother, surge-free asphalt or concrete milling with very precise control. Tilt, depth and side shift controls add to the attachments precision and when combined with the articulation of the Trackless MT, give the operator ultimate maneuverability.
Your Choice, Asphalt or Concrete
The Asphalt Cold Planer is ideal for repairs to asphalt abutting manhole covers, curb sides, gutters and driveways. It can also be used for pothole repair or any other utility cut. The Concrete Cold Planer has approximately three times more picks and operates at a higher speed.
